Our project took all aspects of health and safety seriously. Our heritage-led activities invited people and communities to take part as the city of Bradford recovered from the pandemic. We proceeded cautiously in response to the lifting of restrictions and changing infection rates. We planned flexibly so that we could still interview people, run volunteer activities and hold workshops. Gradually our planned events became possible too. We appreciate the patience and support that so many people have shown. That encouragement has helped the project to make Bradford’s distinctive sound system musical heritage and cultural legacy better known.
